Reflection

Today I'll make a reflection about everything I've covered in this blog.

When I started posting here, I didn't knew that I would learn so many things. Posting every week has helped me remember new concepts easier and thanks to your comments, I have improved a lot of things. Beside posting in blog every week, thanks to the technology classes, I have learned how to use a variety of programmes, such as: Webquest, Penzu, Padlet, Canva, Genially etc. I've used Canva before but the rest of the programs were new for me.

Webquest was interesting and entertaining. It was an effective technique to make the teaching process easier. As well, this kind of technique catches the pupils attention and motivates them to learn more and more everyday 😄.

I liked Webquest because it allows the teacher to provide a chosen information and pupils have to complete tasks by exploring and focusing at the information that the teacher has given. We all know that internet has a lot of information but many of them may be false. But when a teacher selects an information and students focus on that particular example, it means that the source is reliable. As a future teacher, I'll make sure to use this strategy in my classroom ( of course if there are the necessary tools).

I mentioned previously that I have known Canva but not the Genially program. Both of them are used to make our presentations special and entertaining. They have plenty of themes, colours, options and so on. If you want to make your presentations more innovative, make sure to use one of these programs. You will not be disappointed 😃

Padlet was fun too. Actually, it was really easy to use. We posted some cropped photos in padlet and we had to find what the objects were. It was challenging and funny at the same time because we had to imagine and try to find out the real names of the objects given in photos. It was like a game; relaxing and funny 😃.

Penzu, my favourite program. Penzu is an online diary that only you can see. Is not visible to other unless you decide to share it with other people. I have written in my online diary every week. It is really fun because it is like a friend that is there for you every time you need it. I never thought that at this age, I would write a diary; an online one 😂.

About the project, I haven't presented it yet. Next week is my turn and so far I think everything is in order and well- organised. My colleague and I have decided to speak about traveling. We have decided to focus mostly at speaking, as a way to help the pupils develop their speaking skills. They will work in small groups but individually as well. The games are funny; they will talk about their vacations; sharing their experiences, traveling destinations that they want to visit and so on. We have found a lot of photos, interesting videos and quizzes to make the pupils feel motovated to participate in the classroom. I think everyone will be involved and I hope we don't have technological problems. We will wait and see what happens 😃
